The facility program for the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center called for an addition of adult daycare spaces to accommodate approximately 20-25 persons daily with activity area and visiting area, a meeting area for receptions, etc., storage, home health offices, and a relationship to the existing building which would create a controlled outside space for daycare, plus an interior walking exercise track for all visitors to the Center.
Financed primarily by CBDG funds, the new spaces nearly doubled the available program space to over 10,000 s.f. This addition made efficient use of both new and existing space, and made possible the enhancement of life for participants at the Center.
