Clinton COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

Clinton County Early Childhood Center

The Clinton County Early Childhood Center program was developed to incorporate existing Pre-K classrooms into a new facility with a community center (public library, auditorium, and classroom space) to create an "early childhood center" for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The results added eight (8) classrooms, administration area, multipurpose (play/P.E./cafeteria) Space, and kitchen, as well as site access and playgrounds. The added space bridges/joins the two separate buildings into a single structure, and included geothermal HVAC. The total cost to add 15,000 s.f., renovate existing areas, and gracefully connect two disparate structures was $3.88 million, approximately $150/s.f. for new areas with balance for renovation and kitchen equipment. This was completed in the Fall 2008.
