The Allen County Board requested a combination of a Central Office facility and a Central Storage and Receiving facility. The resulting 19,000 s.f. facility has a main level for the office area which contains a central core for staff work area with support staff offices around that core. Offices for program staff are located on the building perimeter. The Board Meeting Room is located off the main lobby, keeping public access separate from the staff areas. Central storage for the school district, record storage, and building mechanical systems are located in the below-grade level which is served by a loading dock and grade-level access. HVAC system is served by geothermal wells, and facility is setup to take advantage of all current technology systems. The school district primary servers are all located here, and fiber connections to all district facilities is maintained.
